There is so much to enjoy this winter at Chatsworth. Take a walk in our free-to-access parkland and woodland followed by a 'winter warmer' lunch and hot drink in one of our cafes and restaurants*. Our stables gift shop is open** providing a choice of gifts, homewares, jewellery, and clothing from local makers and sustainable businesses.
We're also offering a wide range of talks, tours, and workshops themed around art, history, nature and creativity which we hope will inspire you to start a new pastime or delve deeper into an existing interest.
Winter conservation
The house and garden will be closed for essential conservation from 6 January to 14 March inclusive.
The farmyard and playground will also be closed except during the half-term, 15-23 February.
Free parking
There will be no charge for parking at Chatsworth or Calton Lees from 6 January to 12 March inclusive.
* We are refurbishing the Carriage House Café so seating options and opening times may be different to what you are used to. Learn more.
** The Stables gift shop will be closed from 6 - 10 Jan inclusive for refurbishment.
