Chatsworth is located in central England, in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire. It is north of Derby and south of Sheffield.

Visiting the house

If you've booked tickets to the house, your house entry time is printed on your ticket but you're welcome to arrive at Chatsworth anytime from 10am.

Prams, rucksacks and luggage

Unfortunately, we cannot allow prams, pushchairs or rucksack-style baby carriers in the house, however side or front baby carriers are welcome. We can also only allow small bags in the house which must be worn on the side or on your front. Storage is available at no cost in the left luggage room near the house entrance.

Explore the Chatsworth estate and you'll find welcoming country pubs, hotels and holiday cottages, a shopping village and an award-winning farm shop and café.

Explore the house, garden, farmyard and park

There are so many things to do and see every time you visit Chatsworth. Discover elegant interiors and one of Europe's most significant art collections in the house, while in the garden you'll find historic and modern waterworks and sculpture at every turn. From early November you can experience Christmas at Chatsworth.

Don't forget to visit the farmyard and adventure playground, where there are lots of friendly farm animals for you to meet and learn about, as well as an adventure playground where children can burn off some energy.
