Opening times
The entry gates to the showground open at 9am each day and last entry is 4.30pm.
If you have purchased a ticket and wish to see the early morning balloon ascent, you may park in the west car park from 6am. Please note, there will be no access to Chatsworth or its facilities until 9am.
The west car park is located in front of the house and is accessible from the Edensor side of the estate.

Chatsworth is 8 miles north of Matlock off the B6012. It is 16 miles from the M1 junction 29, signposted via Chesterfield and 42 miles from the M6 junction 19.
Car parks
Parking is free at the Chatsworth Country Fair. There are three car parks, the North, South and West car parks. As you drive closer to the fair, there will be clearly marked signs for the closest car park.
If travelling by bus, please note that the nearest bus stop is in Edensor. The house bus stop will be closed for the duration of the event.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at the country fair.
Showground map
Visiting Chatsworth House and Garden
Subject to availability, ticket holders to the Chatsworth Country Fair 2025 are able to access Chatsworth House and Garden on the day of their visit to the country fair.
Due to capacity restrictions in the house and garden, tickets are limited and available on a first come, first served basis each day.
During the fair, from 29 - 31 August, access to Chatsworth House and Garden, as well as the Stables and surrounding area, will only be possible with a valid country fair ticket.
The farmyard and adventure playground are closed during the Country Fair but do have a presence on the showground, view the Showground map for details.
Accessibility
Manual Wheelchair and Electric Scooter hire
Event Mobility is delighted to be providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for use by disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors at the show.
To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair you can book online here, print out an advance booking form from the website or contact the office on 01386 725391 to request a form to be posted to you. The charity asks £35 for an electric scooter and £15 for a manual wheelchair.
Online bookings must be made 2 days before the event. Bookings cannot be taken during the event, however if there is spare equipment available on the day then it will be offered on a first come, first served basis only.
If you have booked accessibility items it is essential you enter through the Golden Gates entrance shown on your ticket.
Car park
There are a limited number of Blue Badge car parking spaces at the front of each car park, however the car park accessed via the Golden Gates entrance has the largest number these spaces, and is closest to the showground. We therefore recommend that Blue Badge holders enter via the Golden Gates. Please speak to the gate staff on arrival.
Toilets
There are a number of accessible toilets around the showground. There is also a registered Changing Places facility near the house entrance, which is over 12sqm. Please click here for more information about Changing Places facilities.
